Every minute spent in the classroom builds consistency, strengthens connections, and helps us feel successful in school.
• Need to excuse an absence? Call the school within 5 days!
• Missing 18 days of school over an entire year = chronically absent.
School day is from 8:10 AM to 2:30 PM
Health:
• Excused absence - Illness, medical appointment, or mental health
• Unexcused absence - Needing sleep/rest
Family/Support:
• Excused absence - Funerals, court appearances, cultural ceremony, spending time with family on active military duty
• Family errands/shopping or trips/vacations not under independent study, babysitting, car trouble, missed bus, no clean clothes, child "didn't want to"
