'O Me-nok Learning Center student Bernard Valdez recently shared his finished traditional Yurok plank house project, and it turned out beautifully. The project gave 5th grade students a hands-on opportunity to learn more about Yurok culture, traditional building styles, and the importance of community knowledge. A big thank-you goes to the community members and parent volunteers who helped students put these houses together and supported this meaningful learning experience.
